How we can help you

​Many people enjoy taking photographs today either with their mobile phone, a compact camera or a more sophisticated DSLR… and we don’t mind which you use, because it’s the photo that’s important.

  • If you’d like to learn how to take better photos, then we’d like to help and encourage you to develop your skills 
  • We are a group of friendly people of all ages, from a wide range of backgrounds, with varying experience and interests in all types of photography. ​So whatever question you might have, there’ll be someone who can answer it. 
  • A chance to discuss photography with enthusiastic like minded people who are willing to share their knowledge 
  • If you are thinking of purchasing equipment, you can get good advice 
  • ​Bringing your images along to our critique evenings or entering competitions is a great way of improving. Advice will be given in a helpful and constructive way by experienced photographers   
  • We have regular sessions learning how to improve our photos using image editing software such as Photoshop 
  • We can also advise you on how to print your images for the best results and also about mounting and framing your photos
  • Seeing images that other members have captured, you may be inspired to go out and try something new yourself - take a picture from a different angle or go to a location and have fun trying something new!
